3 Things Thursday – The Final Chapter

If you read the title of the post, then you know it’s going to be our last 3 Things Thursday link up. Last month we celebrated the 2 year anniversary of 3TT and it’s been awesome. We’ve connected with so many wonderful bloggers, built a great community and found a way to share all those random bits of our lives with you.

Now we are ready to move on and focus on other parts of blogging. That doesn’t mean that you will never see a 3 Things Thursday post from us, it just means that it won’t be a link up. And of course, if you are a blogger, you are more than welcome to write a 3 Things Thursday post whenever you want!

What’s great is that all three of us, me, Nisha and Raj are back together for the final 3 Things Thursday post! Here are the three things I wanted to share with you this month.

1. Kyah’s Hair Donation
My 4.5 year old first donated her hair in December 2014 when she was three years old. We waited because we wanted to make sure she had some understanding of what she was doing and why. Then a couple of weeks ago, she told me she wanted to cut and donate her hair again. Of course I was really proud of her so we scheduled an appointment to get it done. And I have to add, she looks as cute as a button.

2. Mom Blogger Meet Up
I finally got to meet up with some of my awesome mom blogger friends in real life. We are all connected regularly online and all live in the same city, but with kids and life, it’s hard to actually meet up. All these ladies are so amazing. We had a wonderful Sunday morning play date at Jen’s house where me, Tairalyn, Jess and Angela got to drink tea and chat while the kids got to play and paint bird houses. It was a great morning, something we definitely need to do more often!

3. T-Shirt Quilt
We are moving soon so I’ve been doing some clearing and purging. For Keyan, I took out a ton of t-shirts that he has outgrown. I was just going to donate them but then I decided to combine it with another idea I had. I’ve been thinking about trying to make a quilt. No I don’t own a sewing machine and I’ve never done more than sew a button back on or a mend a rip, but I have this urge! So the perfect solution is to make a t-shirt quilt! I can’t tell you how long it’ll take me but I am really excited about the idea.

Those are my 3 Things Thursday  and now I’d love to hear yours. Just grab the badge from the top of the page, write a post about your three things and then add your post to the linky below. Make sure to link back to either me, Salma at The Write Balance, Nisha at Love Laugh Mirch or Raj at Pink Chai Living.

Thank you for all your support and love over the last two years of 3 Things Thursday.

Happy Thursday!

  1. It’s a great moment when you realize that your kids are going to be good human beings and what you are trying so hard to teach them is paying off. You should be proud of yourself and your daughter:). Love the quilt idea too.

  2. It’s so great that Kyah thought of donating her hair on her own! kudos to the little one! Also thanks for adding me to the link up – I had completely forgotten to add myself!
