8 On-The-Go Dinners for Kids

Now that it’s November and the kids are settled in school and back in a routine, we’ve enrolled them in a couple activities that they’ve been asking about.

Of course that means that a couple days of the week, we are either driving to an activity or driving back home at dinner time and I was either giving the kids dinner really early or taking snacks with me to tide them over until we got home to eat.

But if your kids are like mine, their bodies are set to a clock and when it’s almost 5pm, they are starving. So instead, I’ve decided to start making On-the-Go Dinners that I can take with me. This way,  when one child is waiting for the other or we are driving home, they are not driving me crazy with, “I’m so hungry, I’m so hungry!”

I thought I’d share a list of 8 On-the-Go Dinners for the Kids on the days that they have activities.

2. Taquitos

Taco Tuesday is a favourite in our house. Just take all those taco ingredients and roll them up in a tortilla, bake until they are crispy and then they are ready to go. Add a side of sour cream for dipping and some honey mandarin oranges for dessert and dinner is served.
