Celebrating the Holidays with a Gingerbread House Party

Now that November is here, you see signs of the approaching holiday season, all around us. In the malls, grocery stores and even homes.

We love this time of year. People are excited, happy and of course, there are lots of parties. We don’t host a ton of parties at our house, but last year in December, we started a new tradition of a Gingerbread House Making Party.

It was so much fun that we decided that this was something that we were going to do every year. And now the planning has begun. That means, picking a date and time and crossing your fingers that everyone doesn’t already have plans on those days.

The next step is sending out an Evite. I just find it so much easier because you can reach everyone at the same time with the pertinent info and get the RSVP and questions all in one easy to access spot. Plus Evite had the perfect invitation for our party so I had to use it!

Now I just have to wait for the RSVP’s to roll in, get everything we need for making the gingerbread houses and dinner and wait for our fun holiday party day to come.

The kids are super excited and so are me and the hubby. It really is wonderful to be able to spend time with friends and family during the holidays.

How do you celebrate or get together during the holidays?

  1. Me and my friends use Evite for almost all of our events. It’s so easy to track everyone as a hostess and as a guest, you don’t have to worry about losing the invitation!

  2. I think this is a wonderful idea!! Great for adults and kids:) Can’t wait to start spending the holiday season with friends and family!!

  3. Hi there Salma,

This sounds like so much fun! I’ve never attended a Gingerhouse party, and I have to admit that I’ve never baked one, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t attend one if I were invited!

I did create gingerbread cookie graphics with Photoshop, so that’s the closest I’m going to get to making one this holiday season. LOL

I just love spending time with the family. We don’t need to cook, but chatting over pie and coffee is something I thoroughly look forward to doing this year!
