Seasoned Tilapia

If you eat a lot of chicken and beef for dinner, fish can be a nice change. It’s healthy and high in protein. We try to add seafood to our meal plans at least once a week. This Seasoned Tilapia was a big hit with everyone, even the kids!

My 3-year old said,”Mmm, I love this chicken!” And my five-year old asked for seconds! Not only is it tasty, it’s healthy and very easy to prepare, only four ingredients required.

Ingredients:
Fresh (or frozen) Tilapia (you can use any fish you prefer)
1-2 Tbsp Avocado Oil
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. Heat the avocado oil on medium
2. Add the fish to the pan and sprinkle salt and pepper on it. Then flip the fish over and sprinkle salt and pepper on the other side. Cook on each side for about 5 minutes. (If you are cooking the fish from frozen, you will have to cook it for a bit longer.)
3. Plate and serve with rice or your favourite vegetables.

  1. Tilapia is one fish I haven’t tried. I am a fisherman’s daughter so other than octopus and squid, I eat everything that comes from the sea. Ant I don’t eat octopus or squid because of the texture, not the taste. Our favorite, using your exact method of cooking the tilapia is sole but we also like halibut, and red snapper too. But, since I’ve been following your blog you haven’t led me down the garden path, I will try the tilapia! 🙂 Cheers
