Your Favourite Posts of 2014

I always like to look at my statistics once in a while to see which posts you guys have read the most. It gives me a better idea as to what kind of posts to write more of.

So today, I am going to share your favourite posts of 2014, the Top Ten most viewed posts. Some are a given and others are quite surprising.

10 ten 2014 collage1. 10 Things Not to Say to a Pregnant Woman
It’s so fun that this is the most popular post of the year because I totally wrote it on a whim. I was inspired by a friend who was pregnant at the time and it resulted in this amusing yet true post of things that you should bite your tongue instead of say to anyone who is expecting.

2. In the Spotlight with Cityline’s Tracy Moore
The host of Canada’s longest running daytime series, Tracy Moore was the second most viewed post of the year and I’m not surprised! She is smart, funny, great host and a pretty awesome mom! This interview is all about how she balances family and a busy career.

3. In the Spotlight with Global’s Steve Darling
Next on the list is another familiar face, Globals’ morning show host Steve Darling. Not only was this one of the top viewed posts of the year, Steve was also one of the most searched terms that brought people to my site. I can why, great host and great dad.

4. 10 Ways to Use Overripe Bananas
It’s no secret that we always have an abundance of bananas in our house as they are very popular. However, that often leads to overripe bananas. Apparently you all have a bunch of overripe bananas that you don’t want to throw away either and that’s why this post made the list. It’s filled with delicious recipes that you’ll love and are easy to make.

5. 5 Tips for Visiting New Moms
After my pregnant friends had their babies, I thought that this would be a great post to write because people often forget what it’s like to have a newborn in the house, especially when they’re excited to see a squishy new baby.  You seem to agree too.

6. Watermelon Popsicles
I
know it’s winter, but really who doesn’t love a good popsicle at anytime of the year? This watermelon popsicle recipe seems to be a big hit and it’s super simple to make.

8. Akni
Not only was (my mom’s) Akni recipe one of the most viewed posts of 2014, it was also the most searched! Almost everyday, there was someone searching for something about akin so I’m glad my post came in handy. If you’ve never tried it, add it to your meal plan because it is delicious!

9. When You Don’t Have Time to Wash Your Hair
This fun and practical post will have you looking fabulous even when you don’t have the time to wash your hair!
