A Simple Routine for Treating Damaged Hair

I’ve always been a low maintenance kind of person. I love pedicures, but rarely get them more than twice a year. The only time I’ve had my make-up and hair professionally done was for my wedding. Even my skincare routine is just a cleaning and moisturizer because I want something simple and easy.

I’m the same with my hair care routine; just a shampoo and conditioner. Then a blow dry and straightening if there is time. Well recently, a had a bit of a situation with my hair. I decided I wanted to try highlights for the first time in more than 10 years. Two weeks later I decided to get it straightened to save me time.

The end result was not good. My hair was so dried and fried. I didn’t know what to do. I went to my stylist and she tried to do some damage control without cutting all my hair off. She also said I need to do special treatments each week to help my hair get healthy again. I bought something for treating damaged hair. Not only was it expensive, it was tedious too. I had to wash and condition my hair. They come out of the shower, towel dry it, apply the treatment, leave it in for 10 minutes and then jump back in the shower to rinse it off. As a busy mom, who has time for that?

Then I discovered the new Garnier Whole Blends Moroccan Argan & Camellia Oils blend. And seriously, it is awesome! I did my usual shampoo and conditioner and came out of the shower with soft and amazingly smelling hair, (if I do say so myself.) Then I applied the Moroccan Argan & Camellia Marvelous Oil to my hair for smoothing. And that was it, I didn’t need to wait, rinse, nothing. I just styled as usual.

Loving the shine and scent of my hair!

My hair was so soft and silky afterwards and I was so glad that it was that easy, treating damaged hair. It is even something I can do on a regular basis because it was so low maintenance.

The one extra step of adding the oil doesn’t take any extra time or effort and I can even apply it to my dry hair too!

My daughter loved the smell and feel of my hair so much that she asked if she could put some in her hair too. I was totally okay with that because the Whole Blends line is paraben free, contain natural extracts and use gentle sulfates.

The next day, I went to the gym for a step class. If you’ve been to step, you know that you get sweaty. But I didn’t have time to shower right after. Instead, I just changed my shirt, combed the sweaty hair and was out the door to take my daughter to a class.

If you can believe it, I had a mother compliment me on my shiny hair! Even though it had been a sweaty mess

half an hour before, the shampoo, conditioner and oil from the day before had kept my hair looking and smelling great, for real!. Now if that’s not a good result, than I don’t know what is.

  1. I’ve never tried the Garnier collection, but can attest to putting oil in my hair and how wonderful it is! For first timers, it doesn’t make your hair the least bit oily. You don’t need a lot. A small squirt in your hand and rub your hands together and then just distribute it through your hair. Another wonderful thing I’ve also discovered and use on a daily basis, is an oil face cleanser. Doesn’t make your face greasy and leaves it nice and soft and clean. Face oils to moisturizer your skin instead of face cream or lotion is great too.

  2. My hair gets so dried when I use Pantene Spray, & break. This product seems a solution.

    Tks. for Sharing & Caring.
