Morning at the Movies

So I found a perk of working in television while working only part-time, daytime movie screenings!
I asked my aunt to look after the kids for a couple of hours and I hit the movie theatre with a co-worker at 10am for a screening of Gerard Butler’s new movie, Playing for Keeps.

It has definitely been a while since I’ve seen a movie and I did have to fight some mommy guilt. But it was soooo nice to sit and watch a movie and not think about anything else.

The movie was a cute, feel good movie about a former soccer player who has been an absentee, slightly dead-beat dad who tries to make things right. A lot of big names including Uma Thurman, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Dennis Quaid. The movie was a bit predictable but definitely enjoyable.

And there was actually a mention of Winnipeg in the movie!

The next goal is to go see a movie with the hubby. It’s so hard to find/make time to go see a movie in the evening with him even though I know it’s really important to find alone time with your significant other and have regular date nights.

How often to you and your partner get alone time or have a date night without the kids?
