‘Raw’ Fudge

In our journey with trying new foods and different recipes, we’ve also been trying to make foods with just raw ingredients. When we came across this recipe for ‘Raw’ Fudge from The Wahls Protocol, we decided to try it out, adjusting to our tastes. It’s a good thing we did because it turned out to be a great, healthy, yummy treat.

1/2 cup of raisins
1/2 cup of dates
1 cup of walnuts
1 avocado, peeled and pitted

1-2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon cocoa powered (you can use more if you like more chocolate flavour)

Instructions:
1. Put all the ingredients in the food processor and blend it on hight until everything is combined and has a smooth consistency.
2. Put the batter in an 8 X 8 baking dish and press it down until it’s all evening. Refridgerate to set. Take it out of the fridge when you’re ready to eat. You can even sprinkle walnuts on top for a little crunch.

It’s as easy as that. All healthy ingredients and only two steps. Something the whole family can enjoy.

  1. #1 I LOVE your banner. It is adorable and tells a wonderful story.

#2 I was very excited to find that you too like raw food. The recipe looks yummy and I look forward to trying it. I have made variations of it but never with raisins.

    1. Thanks so much Elise, the banner is my favourite part 🙂 I hope you like the recipe when you try it out. What do you use instead of raisins?

  2. Hi Salma,
That looks like a great recipe. I am not much for sweets but would definitely try this because there is no refined sugar in it. I have had avocado and chocolate pudding before and absolutely loved it. Think I’ll impress my daughters with this one! lol

    1. Thanks of your comment Dale. I’ve actually read the recipe for the avocado chocolate pudding but have yet to try it, but it sounds like I really should!
