Rewards for Back-To-School Shopping

This year Iā€™m doing my first back to school shopping as my little guy enters kindergarten! I remember when I was in school, I loved shopping for new clothes and school supplies every year. And now I get to do it again! I know Iā€™m more excited about it than he is.

I will be doing a bunch of back-to-school shopping online, something I started more since having children because of the convenience. Once I figure outĀ the kids’ sizes, itā€™s easy to find what I want and itā€™s so convenient to do it from the comfort of my home. Plus, I REALLY like going to the mailbox and finding a new package to open.

Iā€™ve been shopping online for a while, so Iā€™m kind of kicking myself because just recently I found out that with RBC I could have been earning free points for all that shopping I’ve done! And then with all those points I could have redeemed for gift cards, merchandise or Best Buy & Future Shop products! ButĀ what better time to start than back-to-school. I love that’ll I’ll get something back for shopping!

I already have an RBC Visa card so all I had to do was sign up for the RBC Rewards ProgramĀ and then shop at the stores I normally do through the RBC emallĀ with my Visa card and start racking up the points! They have tons of stores like Old Navy, Walmart, Gap, The Bay, even Vistaprint!

You earn at least 1 RBC point for every dollar you spend with your Visa card, but a lot of the stores offer more, like 3, 7 and even 12 points for every dollar you spend so that can add up fast! I figure, if Iā€™m going to be buying it anyway, why not earn free rewards points that I can buy more stuff with!

So, Iā€™ve got my list started for what I want to buy Keyan for his back-to-school. And I’ve always been a thrifty shopper and online shopping really makes it’s simple to compare prices before I purchase.

And with all the points I earn, I have my eye on a little treat for myself as well to help me out at the gym šŸ™‚

It’s pretty easy to get started, but if you need a little more guidance, check out these how-toĀ videosĀ that RBC made to make the Rewards process as easy for you as possible to get started shopping and earning those points and getting free merchandise and gift cards.

To get you even more excited, RBC is giving away one $25 gift card to a lucky reader from one of these favorite retailers: Target, Indigo, Esso or Best Buy! Just follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter below.

  7. School supply shopping. Clothes shopping for me was not fun as most of it I received for my birthday in the middle of August and I was never allowed to wear it until school started.

My favorite thing about back to school would have to be EVERYTHING, this is my first year. Although I am very anxious for her and I, I think everything good will come from Preschool!
