About Me: The Write Balance
Hi, I’m Salma and welcome to my blog, The Write Balance. I started blogging in November 2012. At the time I was living in Winnipeg, Manitoba and working at Breakfast Television as a producer. Becoming a mom overtook my life and I wanted a way to share what I was learning, doing and feeling, so Real Life for Mom (my first blog) came to fruition.
I’m married to a great guy that I met in University and we have two beautiful children, my son who was born in 2009 and my daughter in 2011. After having baby number two, even though I loved my career, I started having second thoughts about going back to work. I felt like I was missing so much in their lives and I wanted to be a part of it all. Another big thing for me is that I wanted my kids raised in a certain way (my way) and for that to happen, I had to be there.
I made a decision to work from home so I could be around for my children, at least most of the time. I started freelance writing wherever I could and The Write Balance was born so that I could continue this blogging journey which I have come to love.
Today, I am so happy to be doing what I love while still being home with my kids. I do blogging and content creation. I recently went back to school and I am getting my Personal Training Certification. So look out for more posts related to fitness, health and wellness!
