We are headed to a vacation in Mexico at the end of this month. Because we will be at a family reunion, we will have lots of babysitters and that means I’ll actually be able to read! I’m making a list of books that I want to read, both on my trip and for the rest of the summer.
Summer Reading List
1. The Nest
This is a story about grown up siblings and the fate of their family inheritance that they depend on.
2. The Girl on the Train
I’m am really intrigued by the story of a girl who takes a train to work and sees the same couple everyday, but one day they disappear.
3. After You
This is the sequel to Me Before You, which I read last summer, a story about an ordinary girl who’s life changes after she takes a job looking after a quadriplegic.
4. The Weekenders
A novel about a woman who investigates her husband’s finances after he mysteriously dies.
5. How to Talk So Your Kids Will Listen
This one is pretty self explanatory. This is good for talking to your young children and teens.
6. 5 Love Languages for Children
Yes, another parenting book. I don’t usually read them, but as the kids are growing up, I’m facing more challenges and I’m hoping books like this can help out and give more insight.
7. The Gifts of Imperfection
Learning to embrace and be happy with who you are. Definitely something we can all afford to read about.
8. Spark Joy
This is the follow up to The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up as we continue to attempt to live a less cluttered life.
